This week and we are heading back to the town of Brockdsih and paying another visit to The Old Kings Head.

We (Chris) plotted a slightly different route to our normal southernly path and we managed to dodge the rain that had been looming around from early afternoon.

Some 35 miles later we arrived ready for Pizza and Pasta and a coffee.

We ordered;

Nick – Chicken, Sultana & Pine nuts Pizza

A delicate resinous pine-like flavour is toasted to add a textured crunch and placed with the sweetness of sun-dried sultanas, and lean chicken breast

Mike – Gorgonzola Piccante Pizza

We melt gorgonzola and roast red onion onto a slow fermented pizza base with our Vesuvian plum tomato sauce and finish with gorgonzola

Chris  – Proscutto Di Parma Pizza

We finish our parma pizza with shaved Parmigiano Reggiano, aged for 24 months, and fine black winter truffle oil

Rob – Hot Chilli Norfolk Sausage Pizza

We marinate local Norfolk sausage using dried hot chilli flakes and balance the heat with smoke pepperoni

Steve – Pecorino, Rocket and Walnut Pizza

Our Pecorino Toscano Or Antico is made using pure sheep’s milk matured for over six months in a stone cellar to form a hard shiny crust with a persistent but sweet flavour. Created in Tuscany the cheese has a firm and flaky interior, leaving wild herbs and the hint of a burnished citrus tang on the tongue, brightening the nuttiness. We finish this pizza with the added crunch of roasted walnuts, fresh rocket and a drizzle of olive oil

All the pizzas were as before perfectly cooked and the service was faultless.
