This weeks ride took us south to the hidden gem of The Locks at Geldeston.

A frequent destination of the Mamils, but having recently been taken over by Grain Breweries we decided a revisit was overdue.

It’s quite easy to miss this place unless you know exactly where it is and its certainly worth the trip to get there.

Tucked away on the Norfolk broads its quite the hidden gem.  The evening was perfect cycling weather with very little winds, the sun shining and temperature of 19 degrees

We managed to sit outside and enjoy our first drink before heading in for the food.

The food ordered this week was;

Rob & Nick Redpoll Steak Burgers

Ed & Steve  Salmon Tacos

Chris Pork Belly in a bun

Phil Fish Cake

The burgers were very good, really tasty and you can tell they were ground steak, we didn’t opt for the bacon option at an extra £1.50 and at £9 it’s a really good burger, but I’d personally rather pay a little bit more and get a bigger portion as there wasn’t much of it.

The salmon tacos were really good too, although I would argue it wasn’t really a taco, just ingredients in a wrap, rather than a taco shell.

The Pork Belly in a bun was the same as the burgers portion size and equally as good.

Not so sure about the Fishcake, but as it didn’t last very long at the mercy of Phil I’ll assume it was good, as usual, clear plates all round.

The coffee was good too, served in individual cafetiere and enough for 2 cups each.
