Meals Ordered: Chicken & Prawn Paella, Cheese & Bacon Burger, Sausage & Mash
Keeping the milage low for this weeks adventure we opted for a northerly trip to the pub that time forgot in the Earle Arms of Heydon.
Don’t let looks deceive you here though, the pub is a traditional old english style pub and has a horse racing mad landlord (according to its’ website) which is evident throughout.
This is one of our favourite destinations for the MAMILS AGM (Christmas Meal) and we’ve visited this pub more than any other for our seasonal treat.
After a hard ride through some strong gusty winds we arrived in need of a hearty meal. We had the dining room and more importantly the open fire all to ourselves.
Our food orders were;
Nick – Cheese and Bacon Burger
Chris – Sausage and Mash
Ed/Mike – Chicken & Prawn Paella
To say the paella is a favourite of Ed is quite an obvious statement to make as he even has this instead of a traditional Christmas meal. But according to him and now Mike it’s worth it and a very tasty meal.
The burger was good, massive and served in a really good fresh white roll which held together throughout the whole meal. The fires were good as was the burger relish that was served with it.
The sausage and mash was also good and Chris made short work of it.
I’m sure we’ll be back to visit the Earle Arms before the AGM in December.
